The next generation of IT will lead to big improvements in many areas such as medicine, education and other services, in addition to the well-documented provision of information. Computers will become easier to use as voice-recognition and other features are added. The goal should be to make computers as easy and intuitive to use as most household devices. Technology is then no longer a barrier to people with little or no education.
