Developing electronic interactive learning
- Extending training using the Internet
Description
Developing electronic interactive learning involves designing and implementing digital platforms and tools that actively engage learners through real-time feedback, adaptive content, and collaborative activities. This strategy addresses challenges such as limited access to quality education, passive learning, and lack of personalized instruction by providing scalable, flexible, and learner-centered solutions. Its practical intent is to enhance knowledge retention, motivation, and skill acquisition, thereby improving educational outcomes across diverse contexts and populations.
Implementation
Sponsored by the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank, the World Links for Development (WorLD) programme links students and teachers in secondary schools in developing countries with students and teachers in industrialized countries for collaborative research, teaching and learning programmes via the Internet.
Internet operation Netdays was organized throughout the European Union annually since 1997, enabling participants to devise original projects, communicate between them and make them known internationally. More than 35,000 organizations, including schools, vocational training centres, cultural organizations and children's hospitals took part in 1998.
