Implementation
In China, over 60,000 small-scale hydro plants are in operation. In the USA, less than three percent of the existing 67,000 dams, many of which were built for flood control, currently produce electricity. If these dams were converted, small-scale hydropower could supply the electricity for several million USA homes.
