Providing a clearinghouse for economic development information

  • Maintaining library on development planning
  • Collecting publications on economic development

Description

Maintain an information and documentation service on economic and development planning.

Implementation

The African Institute for Economic Development (IDEP) and Planning maintains an information and documentation service on economic development experiences of African countries. Its library contains one of the richest collections of books, journals and documents on economic development and planning in Africa. It is an essential resource to the Institute's trainees and faculty, to visiting researchers, and to other institutions and international organizations based in Dakar. Allied to the documentation activities is the IDEP publications programme (monographs, guest lectures, proceedings of seminars and workshops, newsletter and pedagogical materials).
