Strengthening youth leaders


Description

Youth leaders guide the young. They provide the leadership to engage young people in a variety of activities and often provides a role model or example, and can engage in a wide variety of activities designed to capture and direct the enthusiasm of young people. They often introduce new ideas, skills, knowledge and forms of engagement. Youth leaders are usually found in gathering nodes of teenage boys and girls. These nodes are a meeting and socializing environment i.e. clubs, churches and interest groups. Youth leaders provide the leadership and motivation in engaging young people, and provide leadership and direction for the engagement of young people in society. They have the opportunity to broaden the horizons and scope of activities for young people.
