Promoting individualism

Creating or eliminating institutions, attitudes and modes of action to maximize independence in personal behaviour.

An individual is (a) mathematically, a unit of quantity; (b) biologically, a single representative of a species; (c) psychologically, a personality; (d) in law, a legal entity; (e) in theology, a spiritual being.

1. Individualism is another name for allowing people to have responsibility for themselves. It leads to the emancipation of the individual and social equality on the one hand, and to opposition to hierarchic relations and the power of tradition on the other.
