Description

Practicing elitism involves selectively empowering individuals or groups deemed superior in ability, knowledge, or status to make decisions, set standards, or lead initiatives. This strategy aims to ensure high-quality outcomes, efficient problem-solving, and the advancement of specialized fields by leveraging expertise and experience. It is often employed to remedy issues of inefficiency, mediocrity, or lack of direction by concentrating authority and resources among those considered most capable.

Since humans banded together in communities, there have been social strata. Some people become rich, some hold power, some have glamor or charisma. The rich and powerful often band together and feel comfortable together. They typically will not admit their lesser neighbors to their inner circle. Those who are not among these select often feel inadequate, insecure or resentful. They begin to fear those they consider better, or who consider themselves better.
