Establishing standby humanitarian food service
Context
Although many countries regularly contribute humanitarian aid such as food and medicine during emergencies, their response time may be necessarily delayed due to the suddenness of such events, and their effectiveness may be undermined by the often overwhelming logistics required, such as in dealing with large-scale famines. It is suggested that a common standby humanitarian food service should be established to effectively meet those challenges in the future.
