Collecting information on sustainable strategies of local authorities

This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.

1. Habitat and other relevant organs and organizations of the UN system are called upon to strengthen services in collecting information on strategies of local authorities, in particular for those that need international support.
