Incidence

One of the biggest attempted cyber-scams occurred in December 1999 when a hacker stole 300,000 credit card numbers from the U.S.-based Internet music company, CD Universe. He posted the credit card numbers on the Web after the company refused to pay a ransom of $100,000.
