Nature

The usual reasons for surgical procedures on pets are to produce a more acceptable appearance or to make it more convenient or safer to have the animal sharing the domestic environment. Such practice includes: docking tails and clipping ears of dogs, removal of claws of cats, clipping wings, claws and beaks of birds and desexing mammals.
