Background

Tissues affected by cancers include bone (osteosarcoma), joints, cartilage, bursa, synovial membrane, ligaments, blood vessels, fascia, skin and tendon sheath. Some of the main sarcomas are: leimyosarcoma, myxosarcoma, myosarcoma, lymphangiosarcoma, haemangiosarcoma, fibrosarcoma, liposarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. The cancers of the skin include carcinomas as well.
