Bias against private enterprise

Claim

  1. The critics of private enterprise underestimate its services, exaggerate its profits and impugn its motives. It is difficult to estimate the magnitude of the damage they do. Where a manager is harassed, the cost is in lost time; when the anti-business diatribes reach employees, productivity falls, labour relations are disrupted; and government policy may be influenced to the point where laws are enacted that harass companies, reduce investment returns, discourage new investment and retard development.
