Vigilante

Participates in group action to ensure the compulsory improvement of local morals and public safety according to criteria selected by the group. Usually organized in response to the absence, inefficiency or corruption of regular local government authorities, including the police. Protests innocent and defenceless people against attacks by vandals. Helps people to recognize that they can do something to help themselves in a difficult social situation.
