Travelling
Description
Travelling involves the purposeful movement of individuals or groups between locations to facilitate exchange, access resources, acquire knowledge, or provide services. This strategy addresses barriers of distance, isolation, and limited opportunity by enabling direct interaction, cultural understanding, and logistical support. Effective travelling remedies problems such as restricted communication, economic stagnation, and lack of access to essential goods or expertise, thereby fostering development, cooperation, and resilience across diverse communities.
Claim
Never before have so many people travelled so much and so far and at such speed as at present. Humanity is possessed by a huge restlessness. What is causing this incessant movement? It is desire in its myriad forms. Some are journeying to clinch a deal, make money, extend power; others seek a change of scenery or a hotter sun; a desire for adventure motivates other; many have been driven from their homes by famine or poverty or violence and are seeking a better life. All are searching for something they do not possess or have not experienced.
The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. (Augustine).
