Sports Coach

Takes responsibility for guiding an individual or a team involved in a competitive sporting activity. Often trains or supervises the training of performers to improve their skills, and encourages and motivates the individuals or teams while they are actually performing in competition. May be very informal, as when a father teaches his child to swim, skate, play tennis or baseball, or it may be a more formal role.
