Description

Chiropractic, literally meaning "treatment by hand" is a way of correcting spinal problems. Those who practise it say there is a close relation between mechanical disorders of the spine, such as disc degeneration, and the nervous system because major nerves run through the spine. If there is pressure on the spinal cord, for example, it may cause pain in other parts of the body, such as the legs, feet or head. Chiropractic is meant to ease such pain by correcting minor displacements of the vertebrae.
