Promoting trade-related capacity building measures in world trade agreements

Technical assistance for capacity building to strengthen trade management in developing countries.

An initiative in trade-related capacity building would extend the WTO Integrated Framework for Least Developed Countries Trade Development (the 'Integrated Framework') to other developing countries. The Framework would assist developing countries in implementing WTO commitments and additional commitments in relation to the New Round. An initiative of this type would enable developing countries to assume a greater degree of 'ownership' of the WTO rules, by enabling their greater participation in establishing and implementing them.
