Networker

Seeks to link together people or organizations with similar broad objectives in order that their combined understanding and actions might more effectively achieve their common goals. The networker often promotes a formal or informal interchange of ideas among such individuals or groups in the hope that they might recognize the benefits of continued association and cooperative activities. The networker may be a person who is a member of one of the organizations to be linked, or may simply be a person with a vision who, in sharing it, seeks to draw together others who have a similar dream of the future. Sometimes an author of a book or article can coalesce others into self-conscious association. Networkers are found in complex societies where the need exists for a wide perspective in addressing issues. Today networking is taking place extensively on a global level through conferences, travel and communication as people seek to establish practical worldwide understanding and cooperation. Networkers act as a bridge for promoting associations that may lead to better understanding and more comprehensive action on behalf of the future. Networkers recognize that isolation often leads to reduced actions and possible disillusionment, and hope that mutual support from others can strengthen both the resolve and the results of those who dream of a better future for humankind.
