Harmonizing technology for electronic trading systems

Implementation

At present, the stock exchanges of the same region usually show great diversity both from the point of view in terms of level of automation and of the systems applied. The final aim of this exercise is an interconnected regional electronic trading and settlement system among interested stock exchanges, more or less following the example of the BEIA project.

Claim

  1. Harmonization of innovations and upgrading in telecommunications and computer technologies on a regional scale is an important precondition for a regional stock exchange. A modernized and uniform system of electronic interconnection of stock exchanges facilitates the cross-border transfer of funds, as well as cross-border trading and settlement.
