Greening institutional investors


Context

Large institutional investors, like pension funds and life insurance companies, are holding increasing amounts of investment funds. In 1999, a consortium of the two largest Dutch pensions funds held combined assets of roughly 50% of Dutch GNP. Such institutions are becoming the dominant providers of investment capital for the near future.
