Emphasizing founding traditions

Description

Calling forth past wisdom concerning the way societal structures have been formed out of a firm understanding of social covenants. The catalytic effect is that the past is seen as having valuable and diverse gifts to offer in terms of ordering political life, leading to obvious and essential new ways of interpreting covenantal relationships.

Context

An integral part of codifying unifying covenants through creating a fresh awareness of fundamental caring for all.

Implementation

Tactics include: honour diversity to allow every man's wisdom to be heard and put into the decision-making process; recontextualizing the covenant to present it as a binding agreement; preserving the wisdom of the past and keeping it in individual consciousness; recreating a community of families to form the basis of the political structure; and recreating the family as the basic unit of society. An example is the writing of family constitutions, which has revived the view of individuals in the family as being totally and responsibly interrelated.
