Exaggerated advocacy seems to be the only way to keep people awake. Maybe this approach is necessary to engage our awareness before it is too late. It does not matter so much that people are misled. It was, after all, only the dramatic discovery of the spreading ozone hole that led to agreements to reduce chlorofluorocarbons.
