Developing action plan
- Generating activities programme
- Drafting action steps
- Creating workplan
Description
Developing an action plan involves systematically outlining specific steps, resources, responsibilities, and timelines required to address a defined problem or achieve a targeted objective. This strategy translates goals into practical, coordinated actions, enabling effective implementation, monitoring, and adjustment. By clarifying priorities and assigning accountability, action plans help overcome obstacles such as ambiguity, resource misallocation, and lack of progress, ensuring that solutions are executed efficiently and measurable results are achieved.
Implementation
In 1993, Friends of the Earth Germany began a study for an Action Plan for a sustainable Germany in conjunction with the Wuppertal Institute, one of Germany's largest environmental research institutes. The institute is also collaborating with FoE Europe on an Action Plan for a Sustainable Europe.
Global Action Plan for the Earth has developed a plan of action to create a critical mass of people living environmentally sustainable lifestyles in the North.
