Description

Taken to be the opposite of individualism, its basic assumption is that the activity of some grouping is superior in value to any individual or personal action. In its milder forms, it is simply a special emphasis on the importance of group action. However, its virulent, totalitarian forms attribute absolute value to the activity of specific groups in terms of which everything is ultimately to be judged.
