Threatened species of Tyto manusi

Tyto manusi presumably occurs in the forests of the island of Manus. It has not been recorded recently, perhaps because of its unobtrusiveness but no islanders appear familiar with it and thus it is likely to be very rare.

Tyto manusi is endemic to Manus Island in the Admiralty Islands, Papua New Guinea.
