Scientific hoaxes

In 1996 a paper was accepted by the journal Social Text replete with pseudo-scientific solecisms and politically correct jargon. It was submitted as a spoof to demonstrate that any text can achieve academic approval if it includes appropriately progressive and fashionable statements.
