Nature

The ulcers of mucocutaneous leishmaniasis may spread to the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth and invade the nasal septum resulting in severe facial lesions with extensive deformity.

Incidence

Mucocutaneous leishmaniasis is found in Central and South America.
