Mind-induced death

In a study of deaths over 25 years in the Chinese community in California, it was discovered that mortality fell by 35% in the week before the Harvest Moon festival and then increased the week after -- leading to the conclusion that death can be briefly postponed until after the occurrence of a significant occasion.
