Failure to recognize uniqueness of family members

Each individual member of a family has a unique life-sequence, so that the family itself continually changes and the past is never repeated. However, if the family is unable to acknowledge and mark such uniqueness, and is unconscious of its members' individual lives, then it is trapped in an attempt to continue living within a net of relationships that no longer exist.
