Bradycarda is slowness of the heart beat due to the icterus (jaundice) or diabetes.
Slowness of heartbeat is also a character of complete heart-block, in which the atrium and ventricle beat at different rates independently of one another.
Slow heartbeat is a natural phenomenon in some individuals, the heart beating only forty, fifty, or sixty times per minute instead of the normal seventy or eighty times. Such people are usually of a generally lethargic temperament.
