Video teleconferencing

Meetings that involve participants in a number of geographically separated groups through the use of video systems. Freeze frame (or slowscan) techniques enable transmitted images to be projected onto a screen line by line, and these can be refreshed every 30 seconds.[Advantages]

Currently the most economical medium particularly where there is a large amount of document manipulation to be done. Relatively low- cost equipment and a narrower band width is used.

[Disadvantages]

Can detract from the intensity and rhythm of the meeting if it is not well managed.
