Telephotography

Objects may be photographed, or their photographs may be transmitted, over great distances. A camera may have a telephoto lens for example, a telescope may have a camera fitted to it, a satellite may peform reconnaissance functions with high resolution telephotographic technology, and it may transmit signal-encoded imagery. Any of these aspects may be termed telephotography.
