Telephone conference

Use of the telephone and public address systems to allow resource people or presenters to speak at a meeting when they are unable to attend in person. Can be coordinated with a slide show or other forms of presentation and can enable two-way communication.[Advantages]

The inclusion of people into the conferencing process who would not otherwise be able to communicate directly. "Live" communication commands more attention than written or recorded messages.

[Disadvantages]

The difficulties imposed by the absence of visual contact.
