Serialization

Serialization is a technique of publishing, broadcasting or film showing of stories in installments. Novels in this manner may be published chapter by chapter in monthly magazines, and television or radio presentations of single dramatized literary works may appear in several weekly broadcasts. The epic serials are the television soap operas which may run to over five years of weekly broadcasts. Serialization heightens anticipation on the part of the audience. This excitement of the nervous systems is addictive so that thousands of people arrange their lives in order not to miss the installments of their favorite television series.
