Serial documentary films

Serial films may document current events by following particular stories with an in-depth treatment, or they may record social or industrial-commercial conditions on an episodic basis. Usually produced monthly or more frequently, they may be shown in cinemas or on television. While serialization of documentaries allows for extended coverage, it is at the risk that many viewers may miss a number of parts. Also, because of this, distortion, fabrication or exaggeration in this type of journalism may not be consistently noticed.
