Multi-meetings

Conferences arranged by several related organizations with parallel or concurrent meetings to allow for interchange and joint sessions when appropriate, but otherwise to continue with their own separate agendas.[Advantages]

Participants with interests in other organizations can attend sessions within the different programme frameworks, saving on time, travel expenses, etc. Formative interchange can take place between the different organizations during the time they most need and are most open to input.

[Disadvantages]

Can be distracting and confusing to have two or more parallel conferences and the particular focus of each of them can be lost.
