Model

An architectural model represents in a three-dimensional reduced scale construction all the features of a proposed or existing full scale building. Model toys, for example, trains, cars, airplanes and ships, are also small scale replicas of originals. machines may be modelled as moch-ups giving their appearance only, or, on the other extreme, as full-scale functional models or prototypes. Functions of systems can be modelled descriptively using diagrams, algebra, or complex computer-assisted methods which employ sophisticated mathematical programmes.
