Manifesto

A proclamation by a group who are in opposition to authority or to the status quo. It frequently may contain lists of grievances, reforms desired or actions requested. Manifestos are usually presented in a combatitive manner as a demand and may contain threats against non-compliance. They are typically irrational products of young revolutionaries, written in pompous, exaggerated styles, yet they may capture the emotions and be useful as a propaganda vehicle, promising paradise to the followers or comrades, and the pit to their implacable foes.
