Fable

A fictitious narrative which incorporates allegorical and moralizing elements. Parable, apologue, myth, allegory and other forms are related. The fable's distinction lies in the place it often gives to anthropomorphically characterized animals. The fable is also presented as animated film and as comic strip in modern times, evidence of its enduring attractiveness to children.
