Educational toy

An educational toy is a play item which, in addition to its value for recreation, contributes to develop physical or mental capacities and manipulative and motor skills. Most toy manufacturers claim today that their toys are educational or important to the child's development. Balloons and soap bubbles teach physics, for example, puzzles teach cognitive skills, and toy weapons 'self-reliance' and ' motor' skills.
