Diverger participant type

Participants whose dominant abilities in a conference situation are "concrete experience" and "reflective observation". In terms of these abilities, they are at the opposite pole from the "convergers".[Advantages]

Imaginative ability and the ability to view real situations from many perspectives and to organise many relationships into a meaningful gestalt. They perform well in situations requiring idea generation, brainstorming, etc. They are interested in people; imaginative, emotional, and have broad cultural interests.

[Disadvantages]

Their broad range of interests generally precludes specific specialist knowledge or expertise.
