Conference procedure feedback

When there is a procedures writing group it is very important to have regular feedback between the procedures group and the facilitators on a daily basis. This can be done through daily check-signals meetings. These meetings usually include reports on the progress of each sub-group, reflection on the state of the participants and what the next steps in the procedures are.When necessary, a sub-group may be visited by a representative of the procedures group to assess progress. The facilitators of all sub-groups may be called in for a more detailed report. These meetings are for the purpose of gaining greater sensitivity to all of the participants. Occasionally it is necessary for the procedures group to walk through a set of procedures for the sub-group as a whole or to make suggestions about direction or content from the perspective of the whole conference. < The procedures group can also sit in on the on the reflections on the conference spirit with the facilitators. This usually is done on a daily basis. When necessary to clarify a question or work though a change of direction the conference spirit group and the procedures group might meet jointly with the symbolic leadership of the conference and the practices people. These meetings can be done on an ad hoc basis and may not be needed if things are going well. < All of this feedback about methods is for the purpose of altering the direction of the conference when and if required. With this approach a conference need not be locked into a fixed set of steps months ahead of time but may be radically altered during the event itself.
