Block diagram

Graphic representations of energy process or work flows may use geometrical shapes for coding elements. A square or block is the most common to enclose a label indicating a stage or operation. These blocks are linked by arrow lines. In block-diagrams of automatic control systems, the composition follows systemic structure or function, or of mathematically expressed algorithmic design. Each block may represent a portion of differential equations that describes the dynamics of the system at that point. The block diagram aids in the formulation of the algorithms by its analytic detail.
