Audiotape

An audiotape or a tape recording is a strip of magnetic tape on which may be recorded electrical signals which can be converted to sound. Audiotape is stored on reels, in cassettes, and in cartridges. Audiotapes are vulnerable to magnetic and physical damage. In addition, their message may be copied or altered with considerable ease. Commercially produced audiotapes may be pirated.
