Anthology

An anthology is a collection of extracts from the works of various authors, sometimes limited to a particular subject, such as poetry. It usually presents a choice selection of texts, thus supplying the reader within one book with the best pieces of a given literary subject. Anthologies have proven to be one of the important means to preserve some authors and texts that otherwise would have been lost or relegated to obscurity.
