Animation

The common factor in the several types of animation films (using drawings, puppets, objects, and sometimes performers, or mixtures of these) is the photographing in separate steps, perhaps one or two frames for each fraction of movement, so that the ultimate product, the projected film, does not show any of the adjustments made while the camera was stopped, but a continious movement or animation of the figures and objects.
