Aeronautical chart

An aeronautical chart, or aerial chart, is used in cartography. It is a representation of mapped features of the earth, showing selected terrain, cultural and hydrographic features, and other various information required for air navigation, or for planning air operations. Aerial mapping and reconnaissance accompanies all modern warfare and despite its technical achievements in locating military targets, does not prevent indiscriminate bombing in which civilians lose their lives or have their land destroyed by craters or chemicals.
