Seventh order perceptions - programme control

Here a complex programme can be controlled, using perceptions of all the previous levels, so that, for example, a journey can be planned and carried out within the plan and with response to the unexpected. Preparations for the journey may include filling the petrol tank of the car, planning a route; adaptations may include altering the route during the journey to suit unexpected road conditions. Before actually carrying out a programme, simulated programmes may be made in the head, compared, rejected, accepted, modified. There are not only logic and deduction but also superstition, perceptions of one's own making (not walking under a ladder, for example).
