Description
Nourishing of the new self is achieved through the emotional satisfaction of being accepted by the group in which the individual finds himself, as he gradually adapts to his situation. Recognition and adaptation are achieved only by progressive reform, which is far more real than the individual realizes, and he finds he is accepted despite the incompleteness of the reform at this stage.
Context
A stage reached in thought reform, a system of organized, deliberate and total psychological training which effects individual change through two basic elements – confession (renouncing of past beliefs and attitudes) and re-education (remaking of the individual in the required image).
